About the IP & Reverse DNS
The IP & Reverse DNS tool shows the public IP your connection presents to the internet — including its PTR record — and resolves any hostname to its IPv4 and IPv6 addresses with reverse lookups per IP.
Deliverability tip: for a mail server, the PTR of its sending IP should resolve back to the hostname in your HELO/EHLO. Verify SPF and DMARC TXT records with the DNS Lookup.
A PTR record maps an IP address back to a hostname — the inverse of an A record. Mail servers without matching forward and reverse DNS are frequently rejected as spam, which makes PTR checks essential for email deliverability.
